Who Am I?

Hadi — you can call me Hadi. I like to dream, to ponder, and sometimes to argue. Not for the sake of argument, but because I believe most things deserve a harder look.

Since late 2023, I serve as Head of Engineering at Datacakra, an IoT company based in Jakarta. We build systems for what we call the 4M industries — Manufacturing, Minerals, Military, and Medical. The work sits at the intersection of the physical and the digital: sensors, signals, and the intelligence that makes sense of them.

I believe engineering is not just about building things that work. It is about understanding why they should exist. That question follows me into everything I do — the systems I design, the problems I choose, and the things I write.

At the moment, I am learning how Wi-Fi signals can detect human motion — no cameras, no sensors, just the signals already passing through your room. I write about what I find in the stories section of this site, as honestly as I can, including the parts I have not figured out yet.

I also write under the pen name Malik Andreas Darius — poems and short prose, mostly in the dark, mostly for myself. Some of them end up here too.

You can reach me at hadi@datacakra.com or find me on LinkedIn.
